Firstly, we would like to acknowledge the huge effort and enormous contribution that our Volunteer Co-ordinator, Cara Gibney has made to the Sunflowerfest.  Cara has delivered an extremely professional and invaluable service to the festival while still maintaining a sense of calm and humour when things can at times seem chaotic and manic.  The team at Sunflowerfest would just like to say a BIG thank you to Cara for all her efforts and her generosity in helping to make Sunflowerfest a wonderful experience for our volunteers, our artists and our festival family – the public!

Volunteer Roles

Volunteer Festival Helper

• Festival Helpers fill in the cracks, they do the details that make sure Sunflowerfest is easy and fun and safe for our festival goers. This is all over the festival – at the tent areas, all the venues/performance tents, workshops, the gate, fire exits … and everywhere in between.

Volunteer Festival Fixer

• There’s a whole festival to be maintained here, and health & safety is bottom line at a festival like Sunflowerfest. All sorts of things can need setting up.

Sunflowerfest Volunteer Gardeners

• Sunflowerfest takes place in Tubby’s Farm in Hillsborough. There are fields and paths and woodland areas that the festival will be using for public access and we need to make this space beautiful and safe and ready for the festival. Can you help?

Sunflowerfest Marketing Volunteer

• 2012 is the second year of Sunflowerfest. We are a quality festival highlighting local talent, supporting local music, offering alternatives for children and families over the weekend at Tubby’s Farm. Problem is – not enough people know about us. Volunteer marketers can help.

Volunteer Helpers for the Kidz Zone

• This year Sunflowerfest aims to make this a bonanza weekend for families – kids and ‘big’ kids alike. Remember what it was like to be a kid – freedon, fun and friendship! Find your inner child. Join in the fun and help make Sunflowerfest the festival you want it to be!
• Calling all…Magicians, circus performers, clowns, acrobats, artists – anyone who has a unique and quirky talent who loves strutting their stuff and making us laugh –
• We need volunteers to help supervise the kiddie activities. There will be a dedicated Kidz Zone and various events and workshops taking place all around the festival which will need constant supervision and stewarding by volunteers.
