Recently shortlisted for the Best Northern Irish Festival Award – Sunflowerfest 2012 will be bigger and better than ever!
Running on the weekend of 17-19th August 2012, the much loved Tubby’s farm in Hillsborough, will set the scene for an excitingly different and experiential festival.
Mind, body and soul will be nurtured through a combination of superb live music, complementary therapies, poetry and storytelling, an enchanted glade and a dedicated Kidz Zone in the theme of CS Lewis.
With demand from over 3,000 festival goers in 2011 – Sunflowerfest 2012 aims to attract even more people, both young and old, to the lush Cabra countryside.

2012 sees the arrival of Paddy’s Electric Disco Shed - a new area for electronica, folktronica and night time DJ sets – as well as the almighty Finn McCool main stage, the much acclaimed Campfire Stage and The Barn (for the rowdies!) – which will all be showcasing the best of music from Northern Ireland and beyond.
You’ll be invited to take part in the complementary therapies of Yoga, Meditation, Reiki, Massage, Aromatherapy and Tai Chi. And Salon Moot will offer a venue for impromptu acts, discussion, poetry, storytelling and for anyone with something to say…
Sharing a love of the countryside – Sunflowerfest 2012 will offer fantastic fun for all of the family and for kids of all ages through creative writing, storytelling, interactive art, films, and other workshops. (UNDER 12′s admitted free when accompanied by ticket paying adult (18+). A maximum of 4 children per adult.)
There will be a craft and food village to cater for the unique eccentricities and tastes of each and everyone who takes part in the festival, as well as two singles camping paddocks and one solely for families. Weekend campers are invited to stay over to the Monday 20th August but will be required to vacate the premises by no later than midday that day. Opportunities to pay to upgrade your tickets (subject to availability) will be available at the gate.
Sunflowerfest is a volunteer based festival – that donates £2 of every weekend ticket to charity. So join us in celebrating its third year and be a part of Sunflowerfest 2012!
