Tubby’s Farm, site of Sunflowerfest 2012, sits in beautiful Irish farmland just 10 mins from historic Hillsborough village, Lisburn city and Sprucefield Shopping centre. We are 10 miles from Belfast, 82 miles from Derry and 95 miles north of Dublin.
Buses to Sunflowerfest – there are no dedicated shuttle buses but the Dromara bus from the Europa, Belfast and/or the Lisburn bus station will drop you at the Legacurry crossroads, a 1km walk to the farm.
Coming by Road
From Belfast:
We are within easy reach of Belfast (approx 20 mins by car) by taking the M1 heading south to Dublin/Craigavon. At Junction 6 take the exit toward the Lisburn (Town Centre)/Saintfield/A49. At the roundabout, take the 1st exit on to the A49/Saintfield Rd heading to Saintfield. Travel along Saintfield Road, ignore turn off for Comber and take next right onto Comber Road. Go to the end of this road and go straight across at the Legacurry cross roads. Travel approximately 100 metres veer left (just after stone bridge) on to the Cabra Rd. Travel another 300 metres on the Cabra Road and look for the signs to Sunflowerfest!
From Derry:
The drive from Derry will take approx 1.5 hours. From Derry take the A2. Go through one roundabout. Continue on M22 (signs for Belfast/Antrim/Larne/M22).Take the exit onto the M2. At Broadway roundabout, take the 2nd exit on to the M1 heading to Dublin/Craigavon. Continue on A12/westlink. At junction 6, exit toward Lisburn (town centre)/Saintfield/A49 and continue as per directions from Belfast (above)
From Dublin:
Driving from Dublin city, you take the N1 north out of Dublin. Look for signs for the M1. Continue on the M1 towards Belfast. Take the A2 and look for signs to Hillsborough on the right. Follow directions to Cabra cottage from Hillsborough (as set out below).
From Hillsborough Village:
Take the Ballynahinch Road past the Hillsborough Village centre. Turn left on the Comber Road at the Lisnagarvey Hockey club. Travel along the Comber road. Before the Legacurry crossroads, you take a sharp (hairpin) turn to your right on to the Cabra Road. Follow this road for 300 metres and look for a cement lane to the left. 31 Cabra Road is sign posted. Proceed to the top of the lane and look for the raspberry sign. Turn right and the cottage can be found at the end of the dirt lane nestled in a valley and tall trees.
